According to reports, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry returned to California after Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned home to Montecito, California, and were finally reunited with their children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, after being separated from them for more than two weeks. Us Weekly registered.

Prince Harry (38) and Markle (41) have been in Europe since September 4. They initially planned to stay there for less than a week to attend a series of philanthropic engagements.

However, Queen Elizabeth II’s health quickly deteriorated while they were in the UK, and the late monarch died aged 96 on September 8. The couple decided to extend their stay until her funeral.

Prince Harry and Markle left the UK on Tuesday, a day after the late monarch’s funeral service, Page Six registered. While the couple was away, Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, reportedly took care of their children.

Before they left his homeland, an anonymous source told Us Weekly on Monday that Prince Harry and Markle planned to return home to California immediately after the funeral because they missed their children “like crazy.”

“Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the funeral, where they will be reunited with Archie and Lilibet after being separated for more than two weeks,” the source said, adding that it was “the longest period they have “I was separated from their children.”

The insider continued: “They’ve been missing the kids like crazy and have been FaceTiming them daily, but they can’t wait to see and hold them again after an emotional few weeks.”

The death of Queen Elizabeth II has reunited Prince Harry and Prince William, who have been estranged for years since the Duke of Sussex and Markle decided to step back from royal duties in 2020.

The Prince of Wales invited his younger brother and sister-in-law to join him and his wife Kate Middleton in greeting mourners outside Windsor Castle two days after the Queen passed away. It was the first time the former “Fab Four” had recorded together in over two years.

Prince William continued to address Prince Harry after the September 10 walk.

During the Queen’s service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Monday, he was seen waving to his younger brother and Markle, inviting them to come and sit with him and his family. Prince Harry nodded before he and his wife joined them in the front row.

Earlier in the day, Prince Harry and Markle sat in the second row during the Queen’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey, leading to speculation among royal fans that it was a deliberate tip-off towards the Sussexes.

However, an unnamed source at Buckingham Palace told The Daily Beast that he denied that the couple’s second-row seats were silent and clarified that the seating order was “roughly age-ordered, but trying not to separate families.”

A palace source suggests that the Queen’s grandchildren are arranged by age, except for Prince William, the heir to the throne. This was apparently the reason why Princess Anne’s children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, sat in the front row with Prince William, Princess Kate and their eldest children, even though they are not considered members of the royal family.
