Valve’s Steam Deck currently has thousands of compatible games, and there is speculation that Genshin Impact could be coming to the device.

A Reddit user highlighted a frame of video from TGS that shows Genshin Impact loaded on a Steam Deck, which suggests it may be getting support from Valve’s handheld. When the game was launched in 2020, it became one of the best free to play games on PC. While the title is also available to play on PlayStation consoles and mobile devices, and a Switch version is due out, it is not available to download and play via Deck. But that could change.

Steam Deck currently has thousands of compatible games, either fully verified or at least playable, and this number is constantly growing. However, this applies specifically to the Steam PC storefront. The system is capable of running other titles via emulation as well, so the chance to see miHoYo’s open-world action RPG compatible with the device is something many would love if Valve does decide to officially support it.

Bar_Har circled one particularly noteworthy towards the top of the frame, which can be seen Genshin Impact. While Valve doesn’t appear to have listed this game as verified compatible or playable, it would suggest that it could become available on handheld devices at some point.

Genshin Impact it’s currently only available on PC via direct download or the Epic Games Store, so the game would likely need to be released on Steam before Valve’s handheld officially supports it. The Steam Deck has been compared to the Nintendo Switch in the past, but since its release it has quickly been found to offer more, such as the ability to install another operating system, such as Windows.
