Sept 21 (Reuters) – Take-Two Interactive Software Inc said on Wednesday that a hacker gained access to a help platform at its 2K Games unit and sent a malicious link to certain users.

The company urged users not to open any mail or click on links received from 2K Games Support accounts and to reset passwords in case they have already clicked on the link.

Take-Two said the 2K Games support portal will remain offline while it continues to resolve the issue.

“We will notify you when you can continue to communicate with the official 2K support emails,” it added.

Earlier on Monday, Take-Two confirmed that a hacker had leaked early footage of its best-selling video game Grand Theft Auto VI. read more

Take-Two did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request to clarify whether the two incidents were related.
