Sept 21 (Reuters) – Thousands of users of Microsoft Corp’s ( MSFT.O ) LinkedIn app and website were affected on Wednesday, according to outage monitoring website Downdetector.com.

There have been nearly 15,000 incidents of people reporting problems with the social networking service, according to Downdetector.

The website tracks outages by collecting status reports from a number of sources including user-submitted bugs on its platform. The outage may affect a large number of users.

However, the majority of users across the United States reported having problems accessing LinkedIn’s website.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
