Cyberpunk 2077 is getting another visual boost with a future update that will include Nvidia’s latest features, including ray tracing: overdrive mode and Nvidia DLSS3 – both only available on the RTX 40 series.

As announced by Nvidia, the RTX 40 series will feature the third iteration of Deep Learning Super Sampling. DLSS3 can multiply performance by up to four times compared to normal rendering – which roughly means gamers get better quality graphics at higher frame rates.

Now playing: Cyberpunk 2077 with NVIDIA DLSS 3 & Ray Tracing: Overdrive

Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode essentially increases the fidelity of reflections, highlights, and shadows. According to Nvidia’s blog, Ray tracing: Cyberpunk 2077’s overdrive mode will cause ray-traced lighting and reflections to bounce off multiple times, creating more “immersive global lighting.”

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the only game that will support DLSS3. There are 35 other titles, including Microsoft Simulator and The Witcher. According to Nvidia, the first visual updates supporting DLSS3 will launch in October 2022.
